ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANERS
Get particular about the particles.

Electronic air cleaners, like something called an electrostatic precipitator (easy for you to say) use a process called electrostatic attraction to trap charged particles.

They pull air through an ionization part of the machine, where particles get an electrical charge. The charged particles adhere to flat collector plates that are oppositely charged.

Ion generators, or ionizers, disperse charged ions into the air, kind of like the electronic air cleaners, but without a collector. These ions glob onto airborne particles, giving them a charge so they find themselves attracted to nearby surfaces such as walls or furniture, or attach to one another and settle to the floor.

They may sound like science fiction, but electronic air cleaners are some of the truest and best ways to help keep the air clean and breathable. And Al’s will install your choice of an electronic air cleaner as part of your total air filtration system.
